Ignoring frequencies

Park frequencies outside the calculation entirely: ignored frequencies are excluded from future calculations and stop acting as RF blockers for other devices.

Both are “not currently valid” states, but they behave differently in calculations:

Incompatible (red) Ignored
Included in future calculations? Yes — queued for recalculation No
Blocks other frequencies as an RF neighbor? Yes No
Typical use “This needs a new value” “Pretend this doesn’t exist for now”

Ignoring is the right tool for devices that failed to solve and can wait (a spare rack, a canceled act), so they stop constraining everyone else’s spectrum.

  • A whole zone: zone selector menu → Mark Frequencies as Ignored. The confirmation spells out the effect: all frequencies in the zone are excluded from future calculations and no longer act as RF blockers.
  • A group: group menu → All Frequencies…Mark All Frequencies As Ignored.
  • After a failed recalculation: the failure dialog offers Mark as Ignored for just the unsolvable frequencies (Recalculating frequencies).
  • Automatically: the Auto-ignore failed frequencies calculation setting marks failures ignored instead of showing the failure dialog each time.

Ignored frequencies return to incompatible status, ready to recalculate or manually accept:

  • A whole zone: zone selector menu → Stop Ignoring Frequencies.
  • A group: All Frequencies…Stop Ignoring All Frequencies.
  • One frequency: Stop Ignoring on the frequency’s row.

The Ignored (N) counter in the zone toolbar tracks how many the zone currently has, with Recalculate all ignored as a shortcut.
