Two ways to start with SoundBase: the free web version in your browser, or SoundBase Desktop for hardware control, monitoring, and offline work.

• SoundBase in the browser is free and runs in any modern browser — the fastest way to explore the platform.
• SoundBase Desktop adds hardware communication, live spectrum tools, monitoring, and local-only projects.

Start in the browser

1. Create your account at soundbase.app and verify your email.
2. Sign in — a welcome dialog points you to these docs and the community Discord.
3. You land on My Projects. Click New to create your first project, then follow Introduction & basic setup for a guided path through your first coordination.

Start with SoundBase Desktop

1. Create an account on the web first — Desktop has no sign-up form.
2. Download and install SoundBase Desktop for macOS or Windows.
3. Walk through first launch — signing in activates your license on that machine. If your network is managed, check configuring ports.

FAQ

Is there a free trial of the paid features? There’s no timed trial — the web version’s free tier is free forever, and paid features (SoundBase Pro / Desktop) activate when you subscribe. “Try for free” on the sign-up page refers to the free tier.

Do collaborators need paid accounts? No. A free account can be invited to any project and edit where permitted — see Project collaboration.

What languages is SoundBase available in? Eight: English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese (Portugal), Korean, Japanese, and Chinese — see System requirements.
