Choosing which scan files a zone displays

Scan files upload once per site; each zone picks which scans it displays and calculates against, with per-zone colors and dBm offsets.

Scans you upload on the Scan Data tab are available to every zone in the site — but each zone chooses which of them to actually display on its plot. That per-zone choice matters beyond looks: the exclusion threshold is evaluated against the scans the zone displays.

  1. Select the zone, and find the Scans button in the spectrum plot’s controls.
  2. Tick the scan files this zone should display. Each file has a color swatch so multiple traces stay distinguishable.
  3. If the site has no scans yet, the menu offers Upload new file… — see Uploading and managing scan files for supported analyzers and formats.

If the exclusion threshold is enabled, changing the zone’s scan selection triggers a re-analysis, since the selection changes what the threshold tests against.

The gear next to the Scans button (Scan Data Preferences) opens a per-zone preferences table:

Column What it does
View Show or hide the file in this zone
Color Trace color, per zone
Name Rename the file (renames it for the whole site)
Offset (dBm) Shift the trace up or down for this zone — compensate for antenna or splitter gain differences between where you scanned and where the zone lives
Delete Remove the file from the site entirely (confirmed)
