Customizing plot settings
Everything the plot draws and how it draws it — ranges, amplitude scale, frequency bars, the IMD heat map, monitoring thresholds, and every overlay color.
Click the gear button in the plot’s control bar (tooltip Plot Settings). The modal is titled Plot Settings for your site’s name and has five tabs. Settings are per site unless noted.
General tab
Section titled “General tab”| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Plot minimum (MHz) / Plot maximum (MHz) | 30 / 1000 | Hard bounds of the plot. Raise the maximum to work in DECT, 2.4 GHz, or 5 GHz |
| Zoom increments (MHz) | 5 | Step size of the Zoom In/Out buttons |
| Default start (MHz) / Default stop (MHz) | 470 / 616 | The view the Default Bandwidth reset button returns to |
| Focus bandwidth (MHz) | 3 | Width of the view when you use Focus on a frequency |
| Min amplitude (dBm) / Max amplitude (dBm) | −120 / 0 | The Y-axis range when auto-scale is off |
| View frequency & amplitude readout on hover | on | The readout dot riding each scan trace at your cursor |
| View equipment profile frequency bands | off | Adds a strip showing each in-use profile’s tuning range above the plot |
Frequencies tab
Section titled “Frequencies tab”These display choices are personal (saved per user, applying across your sites):
- Set frequency transparency — 0%, 25% (default), 50%, or 75% transparency for frequency bars.
- Coordinated - view full occupied bandwidth and Candidate - view full occupied bandwidth — draw frequencies as bandwidth-wide bars instead of thin lines (both on by default).
- Show frequency names in bars with Set text orientation — Vertical (rotated) (default), Vertical (flipped), or Stacked letters.
IMD tab
Section titled “IMD tab”The IMD heat map paints 2T3O intermodulation density across the spectrum in 225 kHz buckets — quiet buckets cool-colored, IMD pileups hot.
- Show IMD Heat Map — Yes / No (off by default).
- IMD thresholds — a five-handle slider (defaults 10/20/30/40/50 products) dividing the scale into six color bands you can tune per site.
Hovering the heat map strip shows the bucket’s product count.
Monitoring tab
Section titled “Monitoring tab”Sets the amplitude thresholds that color-code measured levels everywhere — the coordination list’s monitoring view, candidate rows, the Markers panel view, and the standalone monitoring table.
Drag up to four handles on the −120 to +30 dBm slider (defaults −90 / −65 / −50) and give each resulting band its own color via the swatch above it. Use + to add a threshold and the trash button to remove the selected one.
Colors tab
Section titled “Colors tab”Show/hide checkboxes and color pickers for every overlay: Plot background, Brush, Axes, Range Exclusion, Exclusion Threshold Line, Live Scan Data, plus grouped toggles for DTV Overlays (TV Channels, Public Safety Channels, Astronomy Channels) and Cellular Block Overlays (Cellular Uplink, Cellular Downlink, Guard Bands, LMR/SMR Services).
Saving, defaults, and resetting
Section titled “Saving, defaults, and resetting”- Save — applies to the current site.
- Save as Defaults — after confirming, saves the current settings as the default for all your sites.
- Restore to Defaults — resets all tabs for this site (confirmed with Reset Plot Settings?).
