Control and monitoring

How the coordination list talks to your hardware: linked frequencies, out-of-sync warnings, and pushing name and frequency changes to devices.

With SoundBase Desktop on the control network, the coordination area stops being just a plan — frequencies link to real receiver channels, drift between plan and hardware is flagged, and your changes deploy with one click.

The Monitor tab

The Monitor view tab in the zone toolbar opens the zone’s device setup. It doubles as an alarm: the tab flashes red when interference is detected on a monitored frequency — even while you’re working in another view.

Linked frequencies and sync state

A link icon at the left of a frequency row means it’s assigned to a device channel. Assign whole groups by dragging them onto a device, or manage channels individually in the device setup.
An orange warning icon on a linked row means the row is out of sync — the device’s frequency or channel name no longer matches the coordination (the tooltip in the device view spells out which, and warns when a name is too long for the device).

Pushing changes to devices

Edits that affect hardware — a recalculated frequency, a renamed channel (the long name is what devices receive) — queue as outbound changes:

The Push changes to devices button (up-arrow, next to the Monitor tab) turns orange while changes are pending. Click it to deploy everything queued; per-device sync pauses during the push and resumes automatically.
Devices that support live push get changes immediately and automatically — no button involved. The button appears only when at least one device needs a manual push.
Deleting a frequency clears its queued changes.

What the hardware reports back

Linked rows also receive: the monitoring view’s amplitude badges (Enabling the monitoring view), interference detection (the flashing Monitor tab), and the full RF/audio/battery telemetry on the Monitoring page — shareable to browsers via Remote View.
