Sites
A site is a venue or location in your Coord project — a unique RF environment with its own zones, groups, TV channels, and calculation settings.
What is a site?
Section titled “What is a site?”Sites are the top level of the Coord hierarchy: a project contains sites, sites contain zones, zones contain groups, and groups hold the individual frequencies. Think of a site as “one RF environment” — usually a venue or an address.
Each site carries its own:
- Location and time zone — set from the TV Channels page; used for TV channel lookups and the weather widget.
- TV channel state — active broadcast channels are shared by every zone in the site.
- Interactions with other sites — you choose which compatibility tests run between sites (see Editing site settings).
- Calculation, plot, and report settings.
A project needs at least one site, and there is no upper limit on how many you can create.
The Site bar
Section titled “The Site bar”All site-level controls live in the Site bar at the top of the project window, left to right:
- Real-Time Reports Overview — every real-time report in the project, in one place. See Real-time reports overview. Requires SoundBase Pro.
- Site Manager — opens the Tour Planner, where you manage all sites as a list and compare spectrum across tour stops. See Planning a tour.
- Show/Hide Frequency Plot — toggles the spectrum plot pane. See Showing/hiding the frequency plot.
- Add Site (+) — creates a site. See Creating a new site.
- Share Site — a menu with Import Site as…, Export Site as…, Duplicate Site, Document Site Report, and Real-time Site Report.
- Site Settings (gear) — details, interactions with other sites, and licensed spectrum. See Editing site settings.
- Site selector — shows the current site and its frequency count. Click to switch sites or deploy/undeploy every frequency at once. See Selecting a site.
- Weather — current conditions at the site’s location, in Imperial (°F) or Metric (°C).
- Lock — locks the site against edits by collaborators. See Locking a site.

Usage examples
Section titled “Usage examples”Multiple venues. For an event spread across a city, create one site per venue. Each venue’s calculations stay isolated in its own RF environment, while everything remains in one project for collaboration.
Venues with a roving ENG crew. An ENG crew that visits every venue can be its own site, with frequency calculation interactions enabled toward all other sites — its frequencies stay compatible everywhere it goes.
Touring performance. Create the project at the rehearsal studio or first tour stop, calculate normally, then duplicate the previous site for each subsequent stop. The Tour Planner manages the whole run in one list — see Planning a tour.
A venue hosting many events. Keep a “baseline” site containing the house zones, groups, and frequencies. For each event, duplicate the baseline with Active broadcast channels, Band plans, and Scan data selected, and coordinate the event in the copy.
How many sites can a project have? There’s no fixed limit. A project must always keep at least one site — Coord blocks deleting the last one.
Do sites interfere with each other by default? No. Sites don’t run compatibility tests against each other until you enable interactions between them in Site Settings → Interactions. Enable interactions when two sites are physically close enough to interfere.
Where do I set the site’s address? On the TV Channels page — search by address or what3words. Site Settings shows the saved location read-only. Setting a location also runs a TV channel search for the area (United States, Canada, and United Kingdom).
Can I move a zone from one site to another? Not directly — export the zone from one site and import it into the other. See Exporting zones and Importing zones.
What happens to my report links when I duplicate a site? Real-time report links are unique per site. The duplicate gets fresh publish keys with publishing disabled, so nothing is shared until you enable it — see Duplicating sites.
