Creating a new group

Add a group to the zone — fixed-frequency for normal wireless, or frequency-hopping and Sennheiser Spectera for wideband systems.

Create a group

1. In the coordination list’s header, click the Add Group (+) button. The New Group Name dialog opens.
2. Choose the Group Type — this can’t be changed later:
   • Fixed Frequency — the normal group for discrete coordinated frequencies.
   • Frequency-hopping — for broadband/hopping systems.
   • Sennheiser Spectera — for Spectera wideband systems.
3. Type a Group name (default Untitled Group) and fill in the type-specific fields below, then click Add Group.

Frequency-hopping fields

• Start Frequency (MHz) and Stop Frequency (MHz) — the band the system hops across (stop must be greater than start).
• Number of Devices — 1–100.

Coord reserves the whole range with an exclusion range so fixed-frequency calculations avoid it, and lists the devices as numbered channels. These groups count Devices rather than frequencies, and can’t hold regular coordinated frequencies.

Sennheiser Spectera fields

• Channels — the RF slots the base station will use: TV channels or 1.4 GHz blocks, up to 2. Active TV channels are flagged in the picker, and public-safety channels can’t be chosen.
• Number of Devices — 1–99.

The group is named Spectera by default. Spectera groups get their own settings modal (Spectera Settings in the ⋮ menu) and can link to a base station for two-way sync.

Notes

• A fixed-frequency group is just a named container — there’s no equipment or quantity to choose at creation. Equipment profiles are chosen when you calculate, and the results land in the selected group.
• A brand-new zone already contains an empty group named New Group.
• When adding calculation results, the destination picker also offers New group — creating a group on the fly without this dialog.
