Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Add a second factor to your SoundBase account with any TOTP authenticator app — and know what to do if you lose the device.

With 2FA on, signing in needs your password and a six-digit code from your phone, so a leaked password alone can’t reach your projects.

  1. Install an authenticator app on your phone if you don’t have one.
  2. In SoundBase (browser), open the user menu → My Settings…Security.
  3. In the Two-factor authentication block, click Enable.
  4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  5. Enter the six-digit code the app shows, then click Save.

The block now shows a Configured badge.

After your email and password, SoundBase asks for the Authentication code. Open your authenticator app and type the current six digits — the form submits automatically as soon as the sixth digit lands.

In the same block, click Disable and confirm with a current code from your app. (Requiring a valid code to disable is deliberate — someone with only your password can’t strip the second factor.)
