- Get started
  You can start with the free online version to test and explore the SoundBase platform and its features.
  - Downloading & installing Desktop version
    The application is freely available and can be downloaded directly from the website.
  - Creating a new account
    In order to use SoundBase, you'll need to create an account. Your account works with both the free online version and Desktop upgrade.
  - Configuring ports
    SoundBase Desktop requires ports 8427 and 2202 to function properly.
  - First launch
    When you first launch SoundBase, you'll need to create a new project and choose which application will manage it. These settings will take you directly into the application.

To resolve the startup issues on Windows®:

Download the C++ Redistributable package: learn.microsoft.com
Once the package is installed, reopen SoundBase Desktop.

SoundBase Desktop starts without any issues.
